At Home in Laurel Ridge

Laurel Ridge sub-division is about a mile west of Fox Valley Shopping Mall. The main entrance is off of Route 34, Ogden Avenue. There are approximately 200 homes here. Currently these homes are priced between $230,000 and $300,000.

As you drive up the entrance street you'll see Amberwood Park which has playground equipment for the children.

It also has a baseketball area and a spacious greens area for summertime picnics.

This style is called a raised ranch. The bedrooms are over the garage which can hold two cars.

There is a half flight of stairs at the front of the house with pavers and landscaping.

The yard as seen from the upper deck is fenced. Nice and sunny, a vegtable garden would be nice at the back corner, wouldn't it?

As you go up the foyer staircase, which is a rich oak color, you first see the living room.

To the south side of the staircase is the formal dining room, large enough for six people.

The kitchen entrance is directly to the east of the dining room. The ceiling in both the kitchen and the dining room is cathedral style. The kitchen has a sliding door which leads to the upper deck, and a flight of stairs down to the outside patio.

The living room is comfortable for entertaining and there are two sofas facing each other.

The entire east wall is windowed.

The master bedroom also has a cathedral ceiling; windows on the east wall; spacious closet on the west wall and its own bathroom with shower.

This is the second larger bedroom and you can see the windows reflected in the glass in the picture. There are window seats too.

The hall bath has a shower-tub and nice neutral fixtures.

The downstairs laundry room is a real room with space for a sewing machine or even a small desk. You can close the door and probably even hide presents in here. It's bright with two windows.

The spacious family room has room for both the TV, sofa and chairs...and...

The north wall can hold bookcases, files and a computer desk.

And, on the east side there are wooden French doors that lead to a patio where the grill is.
